Psalm 25:6 "Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy loving kindnesses; for they [have been] ever of old."

Dear Ja,
Even though I got a stress headache trying to pay the bills for the first time in years, I have felt the Lord's tender mercies falling upon us with you gone.  Liza has been sorrowful lately about her new bunny Paki about how he is too frisky and won't let her hold him.  This is normal for being so young, I assured her, but she just misses that snuggle time she had with Cookie.  The very next day after you flew to TX she found a white Holland lop that was a lost pet.  The bunny is a older male and allows her to hold him, snuggling him as a baby for as long as she wishes.  If you had been home I know you'd make us get rid of it end of story.  . . but this has been good therapy for her to see the tender mercies of the Lord.  It wouldn't have surprised me if He waited for you to leave to give her this experience.  (no offense, dear)
I also think with you being gone for an extended period of time before deployment is a tender mercy too.  It helps prep me with lots of thought but also list of things I want to accomplish before you go again.  That was so good and wise of the Lord to give me a preview before the real thing.
Emma has a field trip to the Polynisian Culture center on Friday and the last showing of Nutcracker that  Emma performs is at 8pm. You'll fly in just on time that day soon enough to see her.  Again, just another tender mercy from our Creator. . . our protector.  No greater love, than from Him.  I wonder how many more He has given me in just the last week that I have missed.
Luv, me
